Four Swords, High school days part 1

    Vio's POV:

Me and Shadow were sitting by a small pond looking at the clear water and the fish, there was a peaceful silence between us, the only thing that could be heard was the chirping of birds and the occasional splash of the fishes in the pond. After a while of this Shadow looked at me.

"Hey Vio, there's something I've wanted to tell you for a while." Shadow said with a tint of pink on his cheeks.

"What is it Shadow?" I said looking up from the pond and looking at my slightly taller friend.

"I-I love you Vio, and I have for a while now." Shadow said looking at my blue-violet eyes.

"Shadow." I said, and after a little pause... "I love you too."

Shadow looked surprised at this, but smiled brightly. After that he leaned towards me, letting his eyes shut, I did the same and just as our lips were going to touch-

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!"

I woke up to the sound of his alarm clock, after a while of just lying there on the bed thinking of what I had just dreamt I stood up and shut off my alarm clock.

I have been having similar dreams lately. Dreaming of something that would never happen, the day my crush, Shadow, would admit his feelings for me. Obviously no one knows of my feelings for the boy except for my best friend Red. It wasn't like I made it obvious or anything, Red just had a power to know every little detail of me and found out.

After getting up and stretching I heard my phone ring, I looked at it to see it was Red. 'Speak of the devil.' I thought as I answered the call.

"Hello?" I said in my usual monotone voice.

"Vio, don't tell me you just woke up!" See? he knows everything. "We were supposed to meet before school today with the others!"

"Oh yeah. Sorry Red, I forgot, I'll try to get there as soon as possible." I said going towards my closet to look for todays clothes,

"Ok. But anyways I sent Blue to go get you cuz I thought you wouldn't answer, so make sure to answer him, cuz you know what he'll do if you don't." Red said that and I knew what he was talking about. One day Blue had to pick me up for a party we were going to but I was in the shower, Blue got impatient and kicked my front door down.

"Oh great, just what my morning needed." I said sarcastically.

"Haha, sorry. So anyways I'll leave you so you can get ready, see you later. Bye!" and with that, he hung up.

I put down my phone and sighed. I looked at the clothes I chose which were a pair of normal baggy-ish jeans, a white shirt and a lavender jacket. Then I looked at two identical hairpins which were on my night table, they were colored different shades of violet, going from darkest to lightest. They had been a gift from my friends, we had all bought things for each other, Green got a dark green beanie, Blue got a pair of light blue earrings and Red had gotten a ruby colored necklace, we all wore these accessories everyday to show our appreciation.

After putting on my clothes, I put on the hairpins on the left side of my hair, were they wouldn't disturb my bangs from covering most of my right eye. I then put on a pair of sneakers and when I was going to grab my bag to leave I heard a loud banging on my door and heard Blue yell.

"Hey, bookface! you awake yet?!" Huh, bookface, that's a new one.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming!" I shouted back as I got my keys and opened the door.

"Well that was easier than I thought it would be." Blue said once I locked my house and turned towards him.

"Yeah, so where were we going again?." I asked as we got into Blue's car.

"Nowhere really, Red just decided we should get to school earlier than usual, don't know why."

"Ok." I said looking out the window while Blue drove.

Not long after, we got to the school. We found the others standing in front of the entrance, there weren't many people so we weren't disturbing anyone.

"Hey guys!" Red said happily when he saw us approaching.

"Hi Red." Blue said as he gave him a kiss on his forehead and put his hand around his waist. (Bet you didn't see that one coming)

Red blushed and giggled while the others just stared at them with amused glances, I just sighed. Red and Blue have been dating for a while now, it wasn't easy to make it happen but it did. I for one am forever alone so I was happy for him instead of being jealous.

"Well well, you aren't you two adorable!" Shadow said putting his hands on his hips.

"Shut up Shadow." Blue said giving him a death glare.

"Aww, but its true." Blue looked like he was about to say something but Shadow cut him off.

"But not cuter than me and my little Vi over here." Shadow said as he hugged me and put his chin on top of my head.

Shadow was always saying stuff like that, he didn't know of my feelings, that's for sure. But he always teased me like that, putting his hands around my waist, hugging me, sometimes even giving me kisses on the neck. I never showed any reaction to them and pretended that I ignored them, but on the inside, my heart would be beating rapidly.

I rolled my eyes and stayed quiet, like always. And he kept talking of us as if we were a couple but everyone knew he was joking. I looked at the others and they were talking with Shadow and laughing, except Red, he was giving me a sympathetic look which I just sighed to and looked at the floor until Shadow let me go.

I must've missed something important while I was thinking cuz I heard Green say.

"Yeah, you're really dating? then show us. A hug isn't enough proof you know,"

"Yeah, Shadow, show us." Blue said pressing on.

"Fine." Shadow said and then he grabbed my shoulders to force me to look at him and just what you'd expect, he kissed me.

It lasted a few seconds until I pushed him off of me, my face bright red. Everyone stared in silence, they were as shocked as I was. Shadow always played around but never went far enough to kiss me.

"W-What are you doing?" I said, surprise and embarrassment clear in my voice.

"I kissed you." he said flatly as if it was normal to go around kissing people you don't love.

I turned away from him and looked at the floor, my face getting redder and hotter, my heart was beating so hard I thought they could hear it.

"Hmm, looks like little Vio here liked it." Blue said from behind me.

"Blue! Don't tease Vio!" Red said and I felt some one hold my hand and drag me away, I didn't have to look up to know it was Red.

After a while of walking we stopped and I felt Red's hand on my shoulder.

"Vio, it's ok, calm down." he said and I looked at him, the blush still evident on my face. After I looked at him he started laughing, I was confused, had I done something funny?

"Why are you laughing?" I asked Red as the blush increased.

"You just look so cute when you blush." Red said and hugged me.

"But anyways, I know you were embarrassed, but look at the big picture, Shadow kissed you! What if he has feelings for you? I think he does." Red said with a suggestive smile, I blushed harder.

"N-No way Red, he doesn't like guys, much less me." I said while playing with my fingers.

"Vio! you're so dense! he likes you, I know it. And yes, he's into guys, he said himself he was bisexual."

I sighed, it was useless to argue with Red, he was always right. But even if he was, Shadow would've already told me, he's not shy at all so he wouldn't hesitate.

Before I had a chance to say anything, the bell rang.

"Wow, it's this late already? well, guess we should get going, see ya Vio!" Red said as he hurried over to his first class.

I turned around and started walking towards my first class, today was going to be a long day.
